
The Meaning of ‘PB’
There is actually a double meaning to the ‘PB’ in PB Health & Fitness and the first meaning is not the one you are thinking of.
Meaning #1: Process Based
This is more a way of thinking than a meaning and it is made up of a few principles:
- Focus on What You Can Control – Instead of worrying about long-term goals that can be overwhelming (Examples: Losing 20kg or running a marathon), focus on the next workout, the next set, the next rep and doing those to the best of your abilities.
- Small, Incremental Improvements – Success comes from consistency. Doing the little things right. Improving just 1% each day can lead to dramatic progress over time.
- Eliminate Distractions – Ignore external pressures (social media, How you believe others perceive you, fear) and focus on what needs to be done right now to improve.
- Trust the Process – Outcomes will take care of themselves if you execute the right actions with discipline and consistency.
- Effort & Execution Over Results – Results can take time. If you are disciplined and consistent, you give yourself the best possible chance to achieve results.
Meaning #2: Personal Best
It is my strong belief that if you follow these principles, it will give you the best possible chance to achieve your goals and your personal best.
Focusing on your personal best and growth shifts your mindset from comparison and external validation to self-improvement and fulfillment. There is no use comparing yourself to others as everyone is different.
